First walks with a Biewer puppy

For the first walks and adaptation of the puppy on the street, it will be enough to take a short walk in a quiet park, on a pavement alley. It is very important to choose a place that is not too noisy, where the baby can slowly get used to the sounds of the city, the voices of other people and hear the barking of other dogs that are still unfamiliar to him.

Every puppy needs time to adapt. Someone since the first walk will rush forward along the path, playing catch with the owner. While other puppy will need a few days to learn how to not be afraid of new sounds, get used to new smells and new sensations. Do not rush and don`t pull the baby to get acquainted with the outside world, he needs to be allowed to psychologically get used to this. Also, do not give the baby to strangers so that the baby doesn`t lose contact with you and will not be afraid. Training through force will not lead to a good result and may pose the generation of latent phobias that will manifest themselves at an older age.

So, after a few days, your baby is already boldly stomping along the path next to you and he is no longer afraid of cars passing nearby and noisy children running past you. If this happened, then the second part of adaptation started. This step is called communication with other people. Slowly, you can allow everyone who during your walks became interested in your puppy to come closer and pet your baby. The communication with the puppy on the same level and not hanging over him from above will lay in your Biewer a positive attitude towards others. It is very important that the people that come closer to the puppy behave calmly, without loud cries or sharp gestures. Be sure to warn them about this, tell them that your baby is just beginning to get acquainted with the outside world, and that it is extremely important not to scare him right now.

When the baby gets used to the sounds of the streets, communicating with strangers, he is ready to explore the world around him further. You can start visiting supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, shops and shopping malls. But think beforehand about how you will spend tour time there together. Will the puppy be in his favorite carrier bag, plastic box, special pet stroller or just in your arms? Some institutions let small dogs in without any questions. However, in some places you need to have your carrying bag with you. These factors must be found out in advance so that there will be no unpleasant surprises.

Biewer is a dog that will give you maximal pleasure during walks together.
