In the cynological world among professionals, Biewers are not divided into “mini, “micro” or “standard”. There is one and only breed standard for Biewer and it should be considered in advance so as not to give experienced and dishonest sellers a chance to trick you.
The Biewer breed standard specifies a weight limit of 1.6 kg to 3.2 kg. About size, it is stated that the height at the withers of the Biewer should not exceed 22 cm.
There are Biewer puppies, who, according to the breeder's forecasts, can grow up to 2 kg. They often move to a new home as purebred pets. This size of the Biewer does not always give him the opportunity to be noticeable in the show rings. Therefore, such Biewers are chosen as exclusive little pets. Girls and boys with this adult weight often cannot produce offspring, but they fit perfectly into a friendly and loving family and live happily ever after with their owners. In the puppy card of such puppies, there is often a mark "PET", but this does not mean that this puppy is defective. It's just that his predicted weight does not involve participation in dog shows or breeding.
There are Biewer puppies with a predicted adult weight of 2 – 3.2 kg. Such puppies can move to a new home both as pets and as potential future participants in cynological dog shows. Participation in dog shows of such Biewers does not mean that they are better than the others. Just after several shows of getting excellent marks, they will prove that they can be considered as worthy sires and can participate in breeding in the future. But for this step, their owners need to take cynological courses and then the owners receive a diploma with the qualification "Breeder-Cynologist". But this is not the subject of this section.
Each owner decides for himself what he will do with his Biewer in the future.
Whether it's a dog show career, sedate life in an apartment, trips to other countries, an active lifestyle or all of the options at the same time. The main thing is that the owners understand the correct ratio of physical activity and the weight of their pet. Because the step of a person is at least 4-5 times bigger than the step of their pet. And in order to jointly overcome any distance, you need to correctly calculate the pace and time of the walk. In this case, walks together with a Biewer up to 2 kg and with a Biewer 2-3 kg will be a joy for both the owner and his pet.
